Interstellar Boats

Now - November comes and goes

Posted on

It's was a long month but it flew by anyways. The next may be longer and fly faster.

Creating

It feels like nothing. No mind for making this month. Certainly nothing concrete or demoable. That needs to change this month, and structure tends to help me. Advent of Code is great but a bit too much structure. As such,

I'll be going on a december adventure..

  • additions to this site, technical and more
  • tinkering with gpui / other native ui toolkits
  • strudel.cc noisery
  • more probably. keeping the scope small, as

Follow along at my december adventure page, and it'll probably be a rough start due to travel. Every day will have something though.

Consuming

Not much time for consuming. I've started Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut. It's a bit dated but otherwise good so far.

This book was suggested on the Dear Hank and John podcast, which I have listened to at least 50 episodes of this month. It is a good podcast for drowning out current_events®.

Arcane - Season 2

  • This was fantastic. It could have been several seasons in one, but the music is amazing, the animation is beautiful and full of style. I haven't played the game in forever, but you don't need to. The lore they spent years building up is paying off like crazy and I'm here to enjoy it.

Considering

I think @wryl said it best in her talk this month:

"Potters don't outgrow clay"

This has been on my mind but my thoughts are still a bit all over the place about it. Eventually I'll ramble on, but for now I need to build on.
