Drawtober Recap!

Completed 16/31 days. This may not seem like a huge win given the "daily" nature of this event, but it's way more than the zero days that it could have been. I knew the latter half of the month was going to be busy, things would come in the beginning, and some days in between I'd be too dead. So, my goal was to hit ~half of days complete, and that goal was just barely met.

I didn't stick with a theme or follow a daily list, and just kinda picked something I felt good about each day. Some days referenced pictures from previous adventures:

Others were a bit more abstract.

Rather than dive into digital drawing, I decided to keep it as simple as possible. Pen (with one pencil exception) on a consistent post-it note color allowed for precisely the right amount of detail...

...when I didn't go a bit overboard.

With the pencil exception, I had gotten too far outlining. I think it would have been even better if I had swapped over, but it already looked too good for me to mess with it, so I stuck with that for the day.

Next year I'll consider doing it digitally. The commitment to "once it's on paper, its in the piece" was good for this year, but an undo button would have been wonderful. Overall I am happy with my doodles, and am looking forward to whatever form this takes next year.
