Creating

I went on a december adventure..

  • additions to this site, technical and more
  • strudel.cc noisery
  • even more...

Read through in reverse chronology, starting with a summary of how it all went at my december adventure page. Every day didn't really have something, but each was given at least a line of what I tried to do. Much fun and I'll be taking a bunch of ideas from the experience into the new year.

Consuming

I finished Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut.

I kept thinking I would have more to say about this. It was great but I don't think I can draw direct comparisons to anything I've been thinking on. All of it is too direct an analogy to the threat of nuclear destruction to be comparable to any of the issues computing actually threatens (or faces). It's great, and a fantastic piece of almost science fiction (I'd call it sci-fi, the library disagrees). It reads like butter, and I'd recommend it for that reason alone but it also happens to be a fun story with interesting concepts, so I would recommend it.

Considering

Looking at ways to add more variety to the blog here. The monthly posts are nice, but it could be more. The december adventure will be it's own post, and I'll be taking inspiration from how some of those days went, as well as looking into filters for more frequent posts I think.
